    How does the rebate work?

    Take up a Life Insurance Policy through a Citibank Insurance Specialist or via referral by Citi to an approved referral partner between 7 August 2017 and 31 December 2017 with policy to commence by 31 March 2018.

    Pay the annual premium upfront and you'll receive your rebate after you hold your policy for 3 months. Otherwise if you elect to pay the premium monthly you'll receive your rebate after you pay a full 12 month period.

    Your rebate will be paid to your nominated account. You'll receive a rebate up to $1000 on the first year's premium. However where the value of the annual premium is less than $1000, the rebate will be paid to the value of the premium.

    Important Information:

    1. Citigroup Pty Limited (Citibank) is offering existing clients an opportunity to receive a discount on their life insurance premium in the form of a rebate when they purchase a new life insurance policy through a Citibank Insurance Specialist or via a referral by Citibank to MBS Insurance Co Pty Ltd ABN 56 612 480 270 (MBS) or Complete Risk Analysis Pty Ltd ABN 74 083 191 137 (CRA). Insurance policies held within superannuation are excluded. Citibank will rebate the first 200 clients who are issued with a new life insurance policy up to $1000 on their first year's insurance premium. Where the value of the premium is less than $1000, the rebate will be paid to the value of the premium. The rebate is limited to one payment per life insurance policy only. To be eligible for the rebate, clients will need to submit their application by 31 December 2017, and the policy must commence by 31 March 2018. Clients can elect to pay the cost of the premium either upfront or by the month (where the option is available). Where an election is made to pay the annual premium upfront the policy needs to remain in force for a minimum of 3 months after being issued; alternatively if an election is made to pay the premium monthly then the premiums must be paid for a full 12 month period before the rebate will be paid (the Policy Hold Period). The rebate is available to any Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident above 18 years of age. Any rebate to which a client is entitled will be paid directly into their nominated bank account. The rebate will be paid by Citibank to the nominated client bank account within 60 days after the Policy Hold Period.
