If you are both the Policy Owner and Life Insured you have the right to nominate a beneficiary and change or revoke a previous nomination at any time prior to a claim being made on your policy.
You can do this by completing a Change of Beneficiary form by calling 1300 555 625.
The nomination of Beneficiaries is subject to certain conditions which are outlined in the insurance application form.
Please note that nominating a beneficiary is not compulsory. If you do not nominate a beneficiary, any benefits will be payable to your estate in the event of death or to you in the case of trauma or disability benefits.

You can do this by completing and submitting the relevant application form, available by calling 1300 555 625.
Both the Policy Owner and the Life Insured must sign the application form. Our underwriters will then assess your request and if your application is accepted you will receive new policy documents.
You can transfer the policy ownership to another person by completing a Memorandum of Transfer form and submitting this along with the original policy document. This form is available by calling 1300 555 625. Stamp duty may be payable depending on your State of residence. For any other type of transfers, please call Metlife on 1300 555 625
After we accept your application for Insurance, we will send you the policy document containing the terms and conditions of your insurance.
You have a cooling off period which is specified in the Product Disclosure Statement (PDS) and policy documents. During this time you can cancel your policy by writing to us or call Metlife on 1300 555 625 and returning the documents. We will refund in full any premium you have paid.
If you wish to cancel your policy outside of the cooling off period, you need to write to us or call Metlife on 1300 555 625. Cancellations will be effective from the next premium due date and there will be no refund of premium.

To help your claim be processed as soon as possible make sure you fill out all the details and attach all documentation that is requested.
